Seeing SEVENCRASH ‘Evolution’ collection was a great way to end this season of New York Fashion Week. Crayonbox had the honor of witnessing the birth of a collection full of innovation inspired by the impact of technology in the future. The collection was showcased in “series” PROSPEROUS series, DECAY series and NIRVANA series each telling a story for us to reflect on earth and reality. Brand CEO Jason Yao stated:

“As a disruptive brand, we believe in progress and staying ahead of the curve, in the current climate, sustainability needs to be and will be every brand’s number one priority. Every season we have been devoting more and more of our resources to researching and developing sustainable textiles and increasing the role they play in our design process. This is our mandate and an integral part of our corporate culture.”

The year 2065 is imagined, where technology has led to an overexploited earth, and artificial intelligence has brought on an existential crisis. These dystopian phenomena are explored through the collections’ three series – from prosperity to decay and, finally, to nirvana.

Watching the collection you clearing see the concept. During the 3rd series some fog was released adding to the “end of the world as we know it” ambiance. This earth in the year 2065 created by SEVENCRASH was no short of bold, vibrant colors. It was delightful seeing so much color in reference to what could be a gloomy topic.
